- 1). Launch Windows Live Movie Maker. Open the computer folder that contains the photos that you want to turn into a slideshow on Movie Maker.
- 2). Highlight the images that you want to import into Movie Maker. Drag the selected images and drop them onto the open Movie Maker program window. Movie Maker imports the images to the storyboard and timeline pane.
- 3). Click and highlight images in Movie Maker, and then drag and drop them to your preferred position in the time line and storyboard.
- 4). Right-click on any image in the storyboard and time line pane. Click “Select All” in the context menu to highlight and select all images.
- 5). Click the “Animations” tab in the main menu ribbon. Scroll through the Transitions group pane to view all available transition effects.
- 6). Hover your mouse pointer over the “Slide Down Together” and “Slide Down Gap” transition effects icons to view how each effect looks on your slideshow in the preview pane on the left. Both effects scroll the images in the slideshow, but the second option adds a gap between each image. Click your preferred scrolling effect to apply it to the selected images.
- 7). Click “File” followed by “Save Project” to save the slideshow as a Movie Maker project file, or click “Save Movie” to output the slideshow as a movie file.
