Car Insurance Affiliate Programs

    • To find new customers, many companies have affiliate programs that allow individuals to sign up for an account and promote the product. If a sale is made, the individual then earns a commission. A number of well-known car insurance companies offer affiliate programs that allow individuals to earn an income while promoting a product in their spare time.

    Esurance

    • Esurance offers an affiliate program in conjunction with Commission Junction. Commission Junction is responsible for tracking the sign-ups referred to Esurance by affiliates and then paying the affiliate's commission. Esurance offers creative ads to place on the affiliate's website including banners, logos and zip code boxes for potential customers to click through. The Esurance Online Partner Program prohibits affiliates from sending out unsolicited emails, also known as spam, and all advertising must comply with state laws and regulations. As of 2010, the Esurance affiliate program pays $10 per quote referred to the company and Commission Junction sends payments on the 20th of each month.

    GEICO

    • The affiliate program offered by GEICO pays commission on both auto and motorcycle insurance quotes. The program is offered through Commission Junction and provides affiliates with creative ads to place on their websites to refer new users to GEICO. Affiliates may also use paid search engine marketing to direct traffic to their unique links. As of 2010, the monthly commission rates are $6 per lead up to 100; $7 per lead for between 101 and 500 leads; $8 per lead for between 501 and 1,000 leads; $9 per lead for between 1,001 and 5,000 leads; and $10 per lead for more than 5,001 leads. The GEICO affiliate program also pays $3 per lead for motorcycle insurance quotes. Commission Junction pays commission on the 20th of each month.

    InsureMe

    • The affiliate program offered by InsureMe provides indivdiuals with the opportunity to earn a commission on a number of insurance products, including auto insurance. InsureMe's affiliate program is offered either directly through the company or through Commission Junction. Affiliates receive a daily report of their results via email and are provided with creative artwork to display on their websites. Those who work with the in-house program are paid on the first business day of each month, while Commission Junction affiliates are paid on the 20th. As of 2010, commission rates are $5 per lead for high-risk auto referrals; $5.87 per lead for standard-risk auto referrals; and $11.19 per lead for referred-risk auto referrals. Additional commissions can be earned through referrals for home, life, health, renter's and long-term care insurance.
