- 1). Download a Mac-disc program to the PC's desktop, for example, the MacDrive program (see the link in Resources). Double-click on the program once it has been downloaded. Follow the menu commands to install the program onto the PC's hard drive, and restart the PC.
- 2). Plug one end of the USB cable into the USB port of the Mac USB hard disk drive. Plug the other end into a USB port on the PC.
- 3). Double-click on the icon of the Mac-disc program to launch it. Click on the "Save to" icon at the top of the Mac-disc program. Navigate in the window that appears to the desktop of the PC. Close the window by clicking on the "OK" button.
- 4). Select "File" from the top of the Mac-disc program. Select the name of the Mac hard disk drive from the drop-down menu.
- 5). Click on a folder that appears in the left column of the Mac-disk program.
- 6). Click once on any file that you want to transfer with the mouse--the file is in the right column of the Mac-disk program.
- 7). Click on the "Transfer" or "Apple-to-PC" button on the Mac-disk program. Wait as the file that is on the Mac disk drive is read and copied to the desktop of the PC.
