I’m not sure what’s more embarrassing: The fact that Tyra leaned in and smelled booze on Adam’s breath last week, or the fact that Adam thought she was leaning in for a kiss. In Adam’s defense, Tyra Banksdid lock lips with Lil Bow Wow last year, who also happens to 26. And short. And a big fan of alcoholic beverages. But c’mon. Tyra can’t even tell if Adam is drunk or sober without catching a whiff of beer breath.
Scary, and so not attractive.
But enough about Adam’s liver.

The Challenge
It’s go-see time! Starting at the MCM flagship store in Seoul, the models had to pair off, hop in cabs, and book as many designers as possible. And of course, in order to be eligible for the top prize (looks from all of the designers!), they had to be back at Nylon headquarters at 4:45 PM. Sharp. Kelly Cutrone waits for no one.
Everyone had the brilliant idea to start at furthest go-see, which everyone knows is terrible ANTM strategy. All of the models were bunched up, waiting for their turn, instead of zooming around the city impressing designers. Maybe next cycle the models will get a clue?
12 Tips to Success at Modeling Open Calls, Auditions & Go Sees
The models finally squeezed through the first designer and hit the streets of Seoul. Here’s a rundown of what the designers thought:
Lenox - Loved by all. Had a great personality and major high fashion potential.
Adam - Too short for high fashion, and too stiff for anything.
Don’t forget he’s sober now.
Shei - Either too edgy or just edgy enough. One designer found her eyebrows hella creepy.
Will - Too tall. None of the clothes fit.
Chantelle - Didn’t take her sunglasses off. Strong face but bad runway.
Keith - Full of passion. Lovely eyes. Beautiful man god.
All of the models actually made it back to Nylon on time—a rare occurrence. Lenox and Keith both booked 4 shows, but because Keith made it to more go-sees, he took home a pile of gorgeous clothes from some of the hottest Korean designers.

The Photo Shoot
This week’s photo shoot was all about modeling from H to T (in case you don’t speak Tyra, that means from head to toe). The models slipped on designer shoes by Jinny Kim, one of the go-see clients, and posed with well-known Korean models.
Will shoved his feet into shoes that were 3 sizes too small (seriously, Will’s a 13 and the largest size was a 10), but he shuffled around like a champ. Shei was a little dirty but managed to tone down the sexiness. Lenox had a rough shoot, but I’m sure she pulled off something magical. She always does. Chantelle had no clue what she was doing. And Keith finally woke up and delivered tons of great poses.

And then there was Adam. Sporting a hot pink suit and minty fresh breath, he looked like he wanted to crawl back into bed and watch a bad Lifetime movie. He barely moved. It seems his commitment to sobriety is taking its toll. It’s for the best, in the long run.
After the shoot, Yu Tsai pulled Chantelle aside to clear up the panda incident. He said he gave her the nickname because pandas are loving and fun and cute, and he hoped it would soften her edge. But did it really have to be panda? Kittens are cute and loving. So are baby porcupines. And fennec foxes. Chantelle argued that Yu Tsai is in a place of power, and that she doesn’t want kids to look up to him and think it’s okay to call other kids panda, or cow, or any other awful nickname.
Yu Tsai responded by saying she’ll never make it in the modeling industry if she keeps up the attitude. But you know what? I totally agree with Chantelle on this one. Even though she’s not always the nicest person and even lied to the other girls about hooking up with Keith (yup, she went there), she doesn’t deserve to be treated like this. He eventually apologized and fake-hugged her. Pretty sure they still hate each other.

The Elimination
This week’s elimination seemed especially quick. Yes, there are only 6 models left, but it was like the producers couldn’t wait to kick off a certain someone…
Keith took home best shot for the second week in a row. It was a great photo, of course, but what really impressed Tyra was how he kept modeling even when the cameras weren’t on him.
Adam and Chantelle landed in the bottom two for the same reason: They were both controlling and stiff. Miss J actually compared Adam to an unchewed piece of Bazooka gum. But in the end, Chantelle was sent packing. Tyra gave her a half-hearted, “There, there, girl, you were sent home too soon,” while all the other models snickered.
True to form, Chantelle’s farewell speech was out of touch with reality and completely lacking in emotion. Korea broke her spirits, she said. People are intimidated by her and that’s why they’re trying to break her down. I think it’s because she’s a big meany, but what do I know.
Top 5 Myths About Becoming a Professional Model
Next week, the models act in a Korean soap opera and recreate iconic images of Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe. But the real fun is when the models confront demons from their past. I smell tears. Lots of tears.
