- 1). Cut the felt into strips about 1 1/2 inches wide and 3 inches long. Cut at least 50 strips.
- 2). Glue the strips along the outside side seams of the pants. Glue other strips along the bottom hem of the shirt and the sleeve openings. Cut more strips, if necessary, to cover these areas.
- 3). Cut a 2-inch wide strip of card stock that is 1 inch longer than the circumference of the head of the person who will wear the costume. Cut a 1-inch notch about half an inch from the edge into either end of the strip so that you can fit the notches together to hold the band around the head.
- 4). Glue feathers to the back side of the headband to complete a Native American headdress.
- 5). Glue beads or additional feathers to the pants or shirt if you want to add embellishments.
