Really Unique Ideas to Make Homemade Halloween Costumes

    Weather Man

    • Dress as a weather man with a twist. Glue cotton balls to a light blue T-shirt, then wear the shirt and carry a filled water gun with you. When people ask you what you are, squirt them with the water gun and tell them "I'm cloudy with a chance of rain."

    Jelly Bean Bag

    • Go as a sweet candy treat, the perfect idea for a Halloween costume. Blow up about a dozen balloons in different colors and stuff them into a white or clear garbage bag. Cut arm and leg holes in the bag and step into it, tie the bag closed up around your neck. You can write a candy label on the front of the bag in marker.

    Night Stand

    • Make a furniture-inspired costume using a cardboard box as a base. Find a large cardboard box and cut a hole out of the top where you can stick your head through. Draw rectangles on the front panel of the box to look like drawers and glue items to the top of the box that are typically found on a night stand, like a lamp, alarm clock and stack of books.

    Mother Earth

    • Make a Mother Earth costume with some solid colored clothing and accessories glued on. Wear all brown or green and glue items like fake leaves, branches, cut-out paper rain drops and stuffed birds and monkeys to your outfit. You can add vines and leaves to an umbrella and hold it over your head to complete the costume.
