A nest of tables - also commonly referred to as nesting tables - are small decorative tables that are typically purchased in groups of three or more. They are commonly displayed inside the living room area of the home.
In a set of a nest of tables there will usually be one table that is slightly bigger than the next and so on. This enables these tables to slot in underneath each other - ensuring that they don't take up huge amounts of space in the home environment.
A nest of tables was initially designed so that it would be possible to have a number of smaller tables - as well as one bigger table - without have to waste space. Whilst a nest of tables is a piece of furniture that has been around for quite some time now, the modern era has seen an number of innovative interpretations created.
Here are just a few fantastic ways in which you can display a nest of tables in your own home. Once you've considered all of these options, you'll be able to decide on the layout you like best.
One option for displaying a nest of tables would be to have them in a cascading formation. This is an excellent way to display various trinkets and ornamental items that you have in your home.
In order to do this you should have your nest of tables arranged so that they look like a staircase - with one table sticking out from the one above it. Doing this will provide a great visual effect. A nest of tables could also be used in this way to display a set of collectible figurines. An extremely easy layout to recreate, it is especially great if you don't have a huge amount of room in your home.
Alternatively you could also choose to stack a nest of tables with one underneath another - as they were intended to be stored. This can save a significant amount of space and you can easily just pull them out when you need them. Having done this you'll probably find that your nest of tables can be placed anywhere in a room. This particular layout also provides a room with a shelf-like appearance that can look very nice in the corner of a living room.
The third way in which you might want to display your nest of tables is to group them in a row - with the small from the nest at one end and the tallest at the other. People with larger living rooms might find this layout great, as it could provide them with extra space on which to display pictures or a telephone, for example. You can align these tables along the wall or situate them in a corner.
Regardless of the way in which you display them, you can always rely on a nest of tables to add that little something extra to a room. The layout possibilities are almost endless, so why not experiment and create your own layouts?
