How to Transfer Software Between Computers

    • 1). Plug the USB drive into your old computer.

    • 2). Right-click on "Start" and click on the "Explore" tab.

    • 3). Double click on the "C" drive and the "Program Files" directory. Right-click on the program you wish to move, then click on the "Send" button. Send the folder to the USB drive.

    • 4). Slide the installation CD into the new computer and click "Install" to back up the installation disk to the new computer.

    • 5). Insert the USB drive into the proper inlet in the new computer. Right-click on "Start" and click on the "Explore" tab. Double-click on the specific drive icon for the USB drive.

    • 6). Move the software program's folder from the USB drive by dragging it to the "Program Files" folder on the "C" drive of the new computer. Click "yes" when the computer prompts you to overwrite the files.
