- 1). Click the Windows "Start" button and select the "All Programs" link.
- 2). Click the "Symantec Ghost" folder to expand, then click the "Ghost Boot Wizard" option. Select "Boot Package" from the list of options, and click "Next."
- 3). Select all drivers to install on the boot CD, then click "Next." Be sure to install drivers for the CD drive, mouse and network cards.
- 4). Select "PC-DOS" from the formatting drop-down list, then click "Next." Select the "Create ISO Image" option, and click "Next."
- 5). Type a new name for the ISO file in the File Name input box. Select a folder to save the ISO file to prior to burning to CD. Click the "Next" button. The ISO file will be created in the designated location.
- 6). Open a CD burning tool such as Roxio Media Creator, Nero Burning ROM or Alcohol 120%. Select "Create CD" from the New Compilation options, then "CD-ROM (ISO)."
- 7). Click the "Open" button and navigate to the ISO file created by Ghost. Double-click the ISO file to load into the CD burning utility interface.
- 8). Click "Burn." The ISO image will burn to the CD creating the Ghost Boot CD.
- 9). Insert the Ghost Boot CD into the computer and reboot the machine to test. Select the "Boot from CD" option and verify a clean boot-up is performed.
