- 1). With a paring knife, cut several types of fruit into 1-inch chunks.
- 2). With a utility knife, cut toothpicks in half for each chunk of fruit.
- 3). Stick the cut ends of the toothpicks about 1/8 inch into a polystyrene cone, so the pointed ends stick out. Space them about 1 inch apart on the cone.
- 4). Press a fruit chunk over each pointed toothpick end. Arrange them so they create bands of color around the cone, or randomly place them all over the cone.
- 5). Place the fruit tree on a serving tray or platter to serve and display it.
