An Unusual View While Performing an Acute Esophagogastroduodenoscopy
A 78-year-old male with acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding underwent esophagogastroduodenoscopy. He had a complex surgical history including a gastroenterostomy performed 15 years earlier due to an abdominal trauma.

During the endoscopic procedure, after reaching the stomach, the video endoscope was inserted through the anastomosis and into the small intestine. Further advancement of the instrument revealed the following view (see Figure 1):
