- 1). Open the latch on the humidity chamber. Put the test instrumentation inside the chamber. In addition, put any cables through the hole located on the side door of the humidity chamber. Make sure that you put soft putty around the cables to seal the hole.
- 2). Place the desiccator on the left side of the chamber and insert the hose barb extensions. Make sure you tighten the extensions.
- 3). Set up the pump to the chamber by using two clear plastic tubes. Make sure that the pressure side of the pump is connected to the fitting on the desiccator. In addition, make sure the plastic tubes are inserted one inch into the fittings. The vacuum part of the pump is then connected to the hose barb fitting.
- 4). Plug the pump into an outlet. Turn the pump to the "on" position. Make sure to plug the fan power cord into the AC opening. The humidity chamber is now ready to use.
- 5). Look for the temperature and humidity indicators on your humidity chamber model. The standard models usually come equipped with these indicators. For best results, locate your user manual to find out in which type of humidity to use the standard indicator. For instance, standard indicators may only work when using it for humidity levels that remain constant.
