EA Sports Active Review

I wanted to get in better shape.
I walk to and from work most days (3/4 mile each way), so I thought I'd be alright to start an additional workout routine.
As a proud owner of a Wii system, I chose EA Sports Active since I heard it had a good, structured workout challenge.
I had no idea what I was in for! For those of you who want a workout, including moves like lunges, squats, tricep and bicep curls, etc.
, this is a great game for you.
EA Sports Active consists of 30-day challenges (with a rest day every third day) that will give you strength training and cardio.
What I particularly like about EA Sports Active is the calorie-counter in the corner of the screen.
It helps me push further to get the most out of my workout.
I also like the mix of types of exercises and the inclusion of some "fun" activities like boxing, inline skating, tennis, basketball, etc.
It keeps the workout interesting by offering a good variety.
One drawback to the game - There isn't a whole lot of exercises that work the abs (the game's sequel, "More Workouts" includes more ab work from what I understand), and although the game offers variety, it can feel repetitious at the same time while one 15-minute workout may have you doing the same exercise two or three times.
When finishing a day, I feel like I could keep going.
Though at first, my muscles (legs especially) were sore, I soon grew accustomed to the routine and I found myself wanting more.
The good thing for this is that you can increase the intensity of the workouts at any time.
Also, the resistance band that comes with the game can be adjusted to make the moves harder.
This game makes me feel great! Currently, I'm halfway through my first 30-day challenge, and I'm already thinking about the next one.
It provides a great workout that leaves me feeling energetic and good about myself throughout the day.
I recommend the game because it works.
There are plenty of people out there who have seen results, and I'm planning on being one of them.
I'm sticking with the challenge as it has been presented for me.
I'm burning calories and strengthening my muscles every day.
For those of you who feel you need to be "tricked" into working out by doing fun activities, this might not be the game for you.
(Try Wii Fit Plus instead) This game is mostly comprised of exercises like squats, lunges and curls, though it does add in some sports activities for variety.
