    California Science Center

    • The California Science Center is a non-profit museum maintained by the state of California. Inside are state-of-the-art exhibits and interactive educational projects for kids. Past exhibits have included "The Science of Fear," "Body World," and "Mummies of the World." The center also has an IMAX theater, youth science programs during spring and summer breaks, and school programs for field trips. Admission to the California Science Center is free.

    Under The Sea Indoor Playground

    • Under the Sea is an indoor playground with a nautical theme. You can schedule private parties and other children's celebrations, or kids can come in during business hours for an open play session. Under the Sea has a variety of play sets and equipment including a moon bounce, climbing walls and a sea castle. There is also a baby corner and a toddler swing for younger children.

    We Adorn You

    • With a parent's permission, many children enjoy having their faces painted or getting a temporary tattoo. We Adorn You is a salon for children where the artists' medium is face painting, henna tattoos, glitter tattoos and airbrushing. Kids from tots to teens are transformed into robots, mermaids, animals and heroes, or receive a tattoo of a flower or dragon. We Adorn You specializes in birthday parties and special events, so parents should schedule an appointment in advance.

    Six Flags Magic Mountain

    • Six Flags Magic Mountain, located just north of Los Angeles, is a large theme park with rides, roller coasters, carnival games, merchandise and costumed mascots. Magic Mountain boasts over 25 rides exclusively for kids, and the Bugs Bunny Town and Thomas World sections are designed to entertain the young ones. Magic Mountain also has family rides, meet-and-greets with the costumed mascots and Kid Karaoke contests. After the rides, kids can enjoy pizza, ice cream and milkshakes from one of Six Flag's many restaurants. Tickets can be purchased online at Six Flags' website or at the park's admission booth.
