Protecting Sami

EJ met with Justin and proposed working together again. Justin recounted the toll their last collaboration took on his family and declined. EJ returned home. Sami brought up the secret he kept from her. EJ said he was protecting her. Will arrived and they filled him in on what happened to Eric.

Later, EJ and Sami  rehashed their argument about Eric and Kristen. Sami announced that she and the children would continue to live at the mansion, but their relationship was on hold.

EJ agreed to keeping separate bedrooms, but admitted it would be difficult.

Pushing Boundaries

After a phone conversation with Chad, EJ met Abigail in the park and informed her that his brother wasn't returning to Salem. Abigail got upset, when she realized EJ knew Chad had been lying about having a brain tumor. EJ didn't deny it, noting that a man should push boundaries for the woman he loves.

Seeking Advice

Gabi met Justin to discuss her modeling. Upon realizing she'd have to move to New York, Justin advised Gabi to level with Will. When Gabi noted that she and Will didn't have a custody agreement, Justin refused to discuss things further, noting that Will and Sonny loved baby Ari.

Family Intervention

Theresa was surprised when Shane and Kimberly showed up at the pub. Caroline, Kayla, Hope, and Roman joined them. Theresa realized it was an intervention and agreed to go to AA. Shane and Kim contemplated having her return to California. Theresa freaked. Shane and Kim headed to the Horton house, found JJ, and asked him to tell Jennifer they needed to talk to her.

JJ delivered the message to his mother at the hospital; then, went to Daniel's office and told him Theresa's parents were asking questions about her. Daniel cautioned JJ to steer clear of her. JJ offered to tell Jennifer the truth about the night Theresa overdosed. Daniel wouldn't let him, saying it would ruin his mom's pride in him.

Shane and Kim returned to the pub. Theresa begged them to let her stay in Salem. Jennifer arrived, and Theresa apologized for being so awful to her. Jennifer said she didn't care if Theresa remained in Salem, as long as she stayed away from JJ. Shane and Kim said Theresa could stay put. Theresa shared tender moments with each of her parents before they headed to the airport to leave for home.

Questionable Reputation

Kate learned that Jordan was at TBD with Gabi and Abigail and wondered what she was up to. Jordan and Rafe were at the lake, when Will walked up and mentioned Jordan being out with her gal pals. It made Jordan uncomfortable. As she and Rafe left,Kate emerged.

Later, at the hospital, Kate watched a tender moment between Rafe and Jordan. She got Jordan alone and started firing questions at her. In rehab, Rafe took a few steps. Jordan told him he'd be able to walk again.

The Secret Is Out

Nick ran into Gabi at the Horton Square. She explained that while taking the modeling gig and taking Ari away from Will bothered her, she needed to sign with Sparkle. After Gabi left, Nick made a call and accepted his job offer in New York; then, he told Hope he was moving.

Gabi returned home, just as Sonny finished up a call with Sparkle, confirming her move to New York. Sonny angrily confronted her about it. Will walked in. Gabi explained what they were spatting about. A heated conversation followed. When Gabi headed out to think, Sonny phoned his dad and revealed that their only option was to prove Gabi is an unfit mother. Will refused.

Meddling Grandmothers

Sami arrived and Will told her about Gabi's job offer in New York. Sami freaked and wanted to help.  Will asked her to leave things be. EJ found an upset Sami at TBD, but she wouldn't reveal what was bothering her. Sami found Gabi and tried to talk her out of the move, proposing a job with Princess Wilemina instead. Gabi wouldn't change her mind, so Sami asked her to leave Ari with Will and her family. Gabi freaked and said she'd think about Sam's job offer.

Will and Sonny told Kate about Gabi's plans. Kate recalled Nick telling her he was moving to The Big Apple. Kate said they'd have to change Gabi's mind. Sonny worried that Will might try to kidnap Ari. Will assured he wouldn't, but said he was going to talk to EJ about getting a job in NYC. When Sonny said he couldn't move, Will asked him not to make him choose between him and his daughter.

Kate had words with Nick about his plan to go to New York with Gabi and the baby. Nick swore he wasn't trying to take Ari away from Will. Sami and Kate met up. Kate shocked Sami, by revealing that Gabi was taking Nick to NYC with her. Meanwhile, after a visit with Rafe, Gabi met Nick and told him she'd changed her mind. She wasn't leaving Salem.

Relieved of His Duties

Abe stopped by to see Nicole, and they discussed Kristen destroying Brady and Eric's lives. Abe asked Nicole to reach out to Eric. Nicole reluctantly agreed to consider it. Meanwhile, the bishop met Eric at St Luke's. Despite Father Matt insisting that Eric was Kristen's victim, the bishop said the video didn't look that way. The bishop suspended Eric and relieved him of all his duties until further notice. Eric removed his collar and headed to the square where he ran into Nicole. He explained that he'd been suspended and needed to find Kristen to clear his name. Nicole said she was moving on, leaving Eric dejected.

Confronting Victor

Marlena charged into the Kiriakis mansion and confronted Victor about using her to play the sex tape at the church. Victor blamed Eric for the whole debacle. Marlena smacked him. Maggie arrived and listened to their spat. After Marlena left, Maggie and Victor argued about what he did. Then, Maggie announced their marriage was over.

A Summons and  a Kiss

Anne presented Daniel with a summons from the disciplinary committee. When Daniel learned that Jennifer would be there, he realized this was about sticking it to Jennifer. After he tossed out Anne, Nicole arrived. She tried to cheer Daniel up with a kiss on the cheek. It led to a passionate kiss that surprised them both. They agreed not to let it happen again and possibly ruin their friendship. After informing Daniel than Eric was suspended from the priesthood, Nicole went to the rectory to pick up her last paycheck at the rectory.

Jennifer happened upon Eric and told him she believed he was innocent. Then, she admitted knowing Kristen had been unfaithful to Brady and revealed there was a point Kristen thought she was pregnant. Eric freaked, knowing it would have been his child.

Daniel saw Jennifer at the hospital and said he was sorry she'd have to be at his disciplinary hearing. Jennifer snapped at him, insisting it didn't matter, because he meant nothing to her.
