How to Get Rid of Maggots in a Bin

    Boiling water

    • 1). Fill two to three saucepans with water. Place them on the stove and heat until the water boils.

    • 2). Slowly pour the boiling water in the bin, directly over the maggots.

    • 3). Wait until the water cools. Dump out the water. Rinse the bin with water. Cast the dead maggots onto the ground or into the trash. If you leave them on the ground, birds and other animals may eat them. This is why hot water is more practical to use than chemicals: It won't leave any chemical residue for animals to ingest.
