- 1). Slide the flathead screw driver between the two halves of the battery pack.
- 2). Apply light pressure in an upward and downward motion to loosen the bond between the two halves. Do this very gently to avoid cracking the casing.
- 3). Work your way around the whole battery pack to separate the two halves.
- 4). Pull the two halves apart.
- 1). Take note of the direction the batteries are facing before you remove them. You need to install the new batteries with the terminals facing the same direction.
- 2). Peel the wire leads from the ends of the batteries and remove the old batteries.
- 3). Hold the two new NiMH rechargeable batteries in the same direction as the old ones and wrap a piece of electrical tape around the batteries. The tape will prevent the batteries from becoming dislodged during play.
- 4). Insert the new batteries into the pack in the same direction as the old ones.
- 5). Attach the wire leads and place a small piece of electrical tape over the ends to hold them in place if needed.
- 1). Spread a small amount of super glue around the edges of the battery pack and press the two halves back together.
- 2). Allow several minutes for the glue to fully dry before handling.
- 3). Insert the battery pack back into the Xbox 360 controller, connect it to a charging station and allow for at least six hours to fully charge.
