- 1). Lay the black foam sheet on a table, and place a cookie cutter on it. Trace around it with a pencil. Trace around the cookie cutter again, 1/4 inch away from the cookie cutter. Repeat the process with all the other cookie cutters.
- 2). Cut out the shapes of the cookie cutter from the foam, following the two lines you traced with the pencil. This will be the frames of your stained glass Christmas ornaments.
- 3). Tape a thick sheet of plastic wrap to the cookie sheet. Try to make the sheet as smooth as possible. Lay the cookie cutters on the sheet and trace around them with a pencil. Color inside the outlines with colored marker. Do this as thickly as you like.
- 4). Squeeze the tube of dimensional paint around the outline. Press the matching frames to the matching outlines.
- 5). Cut the wire into 4-inch lengths. Shape the wire into a "U" shape, and slip the ends between the top of the foam and the plastic wrap. Make sure that the top and closed portion of the "U" extends beyond the top of the foam frame. This will be the hook used to hang the ornament on the Christmas tree. Press the foam tightly against the plastic. Squeeze white glue inside the foam frame. Let it dry for two days.
- 6). Lift a small corner of the foam from the plastic. If it doesn't come up easily, press the foam back down and let them sit for for another eight hours. Turn the ornament over and let it dry for eight more hours. Trim any excess paint or wires that extend beyond the inside frame.
