Dogs and Humans - Two

Dogs and Humans are very much alike, but just like humans vary in size and temperament.
This means that you should take these factors into consideration when picking out a dog for yourself.
You need to also consider where the they will live, which gender you prefer, how the their health will impact your life, and which breed you will select.
Just like you pick your friends and lovers, only you will know when the right one comes into your life.
Assess your situation.
Are you renting? If so, you will want to select a dog that you can train easily to do what it needs to do.
If you have children, you should think about that as well.
If you have a small living space, a small one is the better choice.
Also, you will need to think about the additional expense you will add to your household budget.
Just as we humans need space, they will require a place that is his special place.
The size of your new dog is very important.
Not only space-wise, but how long they will live.
The larger the dog, the shorter the life span.
A big one, like a large human, will simply require more food than a smaller one.
If you have children, will they be afraid of a large one? If you and your partner both work, will they be alright left alone all day in your living space? Big ones make bigger messes.
Small ones need protection in the cold weather.
All dogs will require plenty of exercise.
Just like humans, it isn't a good thing to not get outside to run and play.
Temperament should be a large consideration.
If you choose a large dog and have children, you certainly need to be aware of this.
Some large breeds don't do well with children and could pose a danger to them.
A small one could be a better choice if he is mellow and only barks to give warning.
Some large breeds have a very protective attitude, even against your friends and relatives.
Some are laid back and rarely get excited, and some never stop exploring and playing.
Choose carefully because your dog will be living daily with your family and should fit into your life style.
You are choosing a life long partner so choose well.
You might want to consider the gender of the dog you choose.
Do you want a male or a female? Do you want to raise pups or not.
Do you want to have a nice male for breeding purposes.
If you get a female, and you don't want to have any puppies, you will need to take her to the vet and get her fixed.
The same thing applies to a males.
Males will want to run off all the time and find a female if you don't take him to the vet.
Just like humans, it's all about the girls and the guys, isn't it?
