Deadbolts and Keyless Deadbolts: The answer to your Home Security Concerns

The latest in deadbolts and deadbolt locks, and keyless deadbolts are not only reliable and attractive, they are also part of the latest trend in home protection.  The new technology comes in three types:  Deadbolts, Deadbolt Locks, and Keyless Deadbolts. Convenience and flexibility, this is what these deadbolts have to offer.  You will rest easy and feel safe and secure if you decide to choose any of these deadbolt options.

Single Cylinder Deadbolts: Are locked with a key on the outside and locked or unlocked with a thumb turn on the inside. This provides strong security while also allowing ease upon exiting from the interior of the home.  The interior is always unlocked unless you choose to lock your door.

Double Cylinder Deadbolt Locks: only open with a key on the exterior as well as the interior, this causing a safety risk in an emergency.  Double cylinder locks on doors used as an exit in an “emergency is not recommended".  In many cities it is against fire codes to have double cylinder deadbolts on doors that are the only means of emergency exit.  Deadbolt locking mechanisms moves only when the lock cylinder is rotated, unlike a normal spring bolt action lock, which will open from a blunt force to the bolt. This is known as bumping a lock to gain access.  Deadbolts are found in digital keyless door locks and electronic door locks.

Keyless Deadbolts have the capacity to store up to 19 different user codes at once.  The user codes can also be stored so that they can be traced back to see who used a particular code.  Keyless Deadbolts are an attractive alternative to Deadbolt Locks.  With the concerns we all have when it comes to our homes it is recommended that all exterior doors have deadbolts on them.  It is also recommended that you take the extra precaution and install a deadbolt lock on your garage door entry into your home if you have an attached garage.  So give your family the freedom they want along with the security they deserve with any of the many deadbolt solutions available.
