- 1). Lay the garment on a flat surface, with the side to be silk-screened facing upwards.
- 2). Measure the width and length of the garment. Write down the measurements.
- 3). Divide the length and the width measurements in half.
- 4). Using the half-width and half-height measurements from Step 4 as coordinates, place a piece of masking tape in the center of the garment where the two measurements intersect. This is the center of the garment.
- 5). Measure the width and length of the design. Write down these measurements.
- 6). Divide the length and width measurements of the design in half, just as you did with the measurements for the garment.
- 7). Using the half-width and half-height measurements from Step 5 as coordinates, place a piece of masking tape in the center of the design where the two measurements intersect. This is the center of the design.
- 8). Place the design on the product, matching up the two tape marks, to center the design.
- 9). Remove the tape before proceeding with the silk screening process.
