Caravan Battery Wiring

    • 1). Open the Caravan's hood. Clean the terminals on the battery with a terminal brush to remove any dirt or corrosion from the terminals.

    • 2). Locate the positive battery cable attached to a post on the starter. Attach the opposite end of the cable to the positive battery terminal. The terminal will be marked with a "plus" sign to help you identify it. Tighten the cable with a wrench or socket and ratchet.

    • 3). Locate the negative battery cable attached to the engine block. Secure the opposite end of the cable on the negative battery terminal. The terminal will be marked with a "minus" sign for identification. Tighten the cable completely with a socket and ratchet or wrench.

    • 4). Close the hood and then start the van to test the cable connections.
