Move your entertainment center as close to outlets and ethernet jacks as possible. Minimizing the length of cable and wire runs decreases the potential visible area of the cable. If wires are shorter, there is less to see. - 2). Pick up your wire cutter. Trim excess length from any wires and cables that you can. This will be possible with connections such as speaker wires. However, trimming may be more difficult with cables, such as the ethernet connections.
- 3). Coil excess cable and wires that cannot (or should not) be shortened by cutting.

Secure the coils of cable with twist ties or cable "zip ties." This keeps the cables from unwinding and spilling out from behind the entertainment center. This also keeps cables from becoming tangled.. - 5

Plug all AC cords into a a single power strip. Consolidating all AC cords into one area keeps the power connections hidden behind the entertainment center. - 6). Hide the speaker wires by using a putty knife to pry baseboard trim away from the wall. Do not pull the trim out too far, just about one-eighth of an inch. Start from behind the entertainment center.
- 7). Tuck the speaker wire behind the trim, and move the putty knife toward the speaker you are wiring. Continue tucking the wire in behind the trim until you reach the speaker. The wire should fit snugly between the baseboard trim and the wall.
- 8). Cut off any excess wire, strip with wire stripper, and reconnect it to the speaker.
Repeat this step for other speakers - 9). .
