Directions for Freezing Warts

    • 1). Purchase a freezing wart removal product. These can be found in almost any drug store. Compound W and Wartner are a few of the better known wart remover products.

    • 2). Remove the contents of the package. Open the bag containing the foam applicators and choose the applicator that best fits your wart size.

    • 3). Squeeze the applicator between your thumb and forefinger until the hole at the tip of the applicator opens. Insert the plastic applicator holder into this hole.

    • 4). Insert the foam applicator into the opening of the liquid freezing compound can. Place the can on a stable surface and press down firmly on the plastic applicator holder. Hold for two to three seconds. You will hear a hissing sound.

    • 5). Remove the applicator from the container and apply the tip of the foam applicator on the infected area. Hold it there for several seconds. Do not leave the foam applicator in contact with your skin for more than 20 seconds. You will probably feel a tingling, numbing sensation.

    • 6). Allow your skin at least two weeks to heal. If your skin blisters, do not pop the blister. If your wart does not fall off after two weeks, you may repeat this process up to three times. If your wart still does not come off after the third treatment, consult your doctor.
