Lucky Tries to Talk Sense to Sonny; Sonny Plans His Alibi for Friday
Lucky is waiting for Sonny when he arrives at the mob restaurant. He wants to discuss Michael. Like Dante, Lucky urges Sonny to stop trying to see him. Otherwise, Michael is in violation of his parole. Sonny will do what he wants. So there are no surprises. Once Lucky is out of there, Sonny advises Luke to make sure Ethan is doing something on Friday that does not involve Johnny.
That is the day Johnny will die, thanks to a car bomb.
Alexis visits Sonny, also at the restaurant. She wants to discuss another of Sonny's children, Kristina. Sonny suggests that Alexis host a dinner at the Lake House on Friday, for him and his children. Alexis says that she would think that was a great idea except that this is nothing but an excuse to see Michael. Sonny plays the wide-eyed innocent - it's just that if Kristina sees him interacting with the other kids, maybe she'll soften. Alexis agrees to host such an event. Meanwhile, mob brothers Max and Milo talk about building and setting the car bomb.
Olivia Has Some Advice for Lulu About Dante; Michael Has a Talk with Kristina
Lulu and Olivia have a heart to heart on the pier. Olivia advises Lulu that Dante will always follow is conscience. In this situation, apparently that means teaming with Jason to get Franco. Lulu has to decide: she can support him or fight with him. Lulu, we know, wants to support him. She returns to the loft, where both she and Dante apologize to one another at the same time.
Michael makes himself scarce so they can spend some much-needed time together.
Michael heads for the pier, where he sees Kristina. The two argue, Michael taking Sonny's side. He knows that she really loves their father. Kristina admits that; she just can't get through the anger. She wants to teach him a lesson. She comes up with the idea of spending Friday night with Johnny. That should put Sonny over the top. Yeah, and her too, if she's not careful.
Elizabeth Receives Sad News from Steve
At GH, Steve breaks it to Elizabeth that Shirley's cancer has metastasized to her brain. Elizabeth visits Shirley and gives her a book about jewelry. Shirley stops her. She knows that her cancer has worsened. Reality check time.
Lucky Gives Maxie an Ego Boost
Lucky has been assigned to guard Maxie, and she admits to him that she's afraid of running into Franco. She wishes she'd never spoken to him, much less slept with him. Lucky compliments Maxie by saying that in spite of everything she's pulled in the past, she seems to be a different person now.
Lisa and Patrick Almost Do It; The Falconeri Girls Go At It At Jake's
Lisa yanks Patrick forward into her apartment as the two kiss. Patrick pulls back quickly. He's a married man. Lisa becomes angry. Is he accusing her of being an instigator? Patrick is drunk and slurs that Lisa has been after him for month and makes sure that she's naked in the locker room. Enraged, she throws him out. Patrick staggers over to Jake's. It's a hot night. Steve is there, which gives Patrick a chance to apologize for his behavior and offer to buy Steve a beer. Kate is there, flirting with Coleman. Olivia enters, showing some cleavage. She orders a drink and banters with Coleman. Kate lets that go on for about thirty seconds, at which point, she grabs her cousin and yells at her to stay away from her man and stop showing her who-has. Is she a cougar or a cradle-robber? The two seem ready to duke it out big time.
Ethan Refuses an Invitation from Luke and is Duped by Maya
Ethan arrives at Lucky's place at Luke's invitation. He invites Ethan to accompany him to Monte Carlo, where he has a huge mark waiting for him. Ethan is sorry, but he can't go. He's working with Johnny, and he pays like there's no tomorrow. Luke signs. Unfortunately, that statement may be able to be taken literally. He is afraid for Ethan, he confesses to Lucky later on.
When Ethan arrives at Johnny's, the place is dark, and Maya shows up. She was in the neighborhood. She just hasn't been able to stop thinking about him. Wow, Ethan replies, the feeling is mutual. Johnny gets home and plays along until Maya says that while she likes Ethan, she has to leave. After all, he's a mob boss, and she could never date him. Ethan gets all tongue-tied and finally owns up to the fact that Johnny is the boss, not him! Maya smiles. Next time, she says, change the nameplate in the lobby. She leaves as Ethan stands there, mortified. Once they're alone, Johnny informs Ethan that he'll be needed at a meeting Friday evening.
