Murcia Villas: The Impact of The New Spanish Paramount Theme Park on Property Prices in The Region

When it comes to investing in Spanish Property, Murcia Villas are attractive for a number of reasons: the great prices, the weather, the nearby beaches, the historic towns, the easy access to the region.
But now there's another key reason to consider it.
The new Paramount Theme Park in Alhama de Murcia is due to open in 2015.
This huge development will not only be a theme park, but also a lifestyle centre and home to Paramount Pictures European film production.
The Lifestyle Centre will comprise of apartments, several hotels and office buildings as well as leisure facilities such as a casino and nightlife areas and retail and dining areas.
There will also be a convention centre with an auditorium and exhibition hall for events.
All of this will be set around beautifully landscaped gardens.
As with Paramount's previous offerings, the theme park will feature some of their biggest hits including a Titanic themed experience, an Italian Job inspired roller coaster, a Mission Impossible 4D experience and Tomb Raider and Star Trek attractions.
This will be set out in various themed zones.
It is hoped that the park will offer a European rival to Disneyland Paris, and that the added weather advantage of this region along with its proximity to the coast and its stunning beaches will assist with this.
Economically the area will benefit with the creation of approximately 20,000 new jobs.
There will inevitably be a need for holiday accommodation nearby to service the park.
And as such property prices are expected to rise in the area.
Already an ideal holiday destination in terms of climate, culture, golf and beaches, the region will see a boost with this major added attraction.
It is estimated that the new theme park will bring in an extra 3 million visitors a year, so investing in a property now could be ideal as demand for holiday properties is likely to be considerable.
The region is home to several residential developments, with new and established Murcia Villas currently available to purchase at really reasonable prices.
For example, prices for three bedroom villas with a swimming pool on the Camposol development, just 20km from the new Paramount Park, start at around £100,000.
With the completion date estimated to be Easter 2015, this new theme park is likely to provide a huge boost to the area, and also to increase property prices.
