The Recession and The Success of Your Business

Over the years I've seen lots of recessions, high interest rates, industry bubbles bursting, high unemployment and economic stress in America.
Still, the success in your business is about how you go after the challenges, the choices you make and your will to overcome and adapt - to win.
Let's talk shall we? My acquaintance then tells me; "Hey buddy you do not fool me.
You could do better but the economy has affected you, too.
" Before I retired, I had a saying; "screw the economy, we don't participate in recessions!" And we even had some bumper stickers which said that for our company vehicles.
I actually did better during recessions, because we worked harder and smarter.
Vast amounts of wealth are made during downturns in the economy.
"You go to war with what you have" and it is human will, and strength of character, and the choices you make of your own free will which will determine if succeed or fail.
No one determines my success, but me.
It is supposed to be that way for everyone - but America is becoming weak - due to poor policy, socialism - at least that's my view.
In fact, I am concerned also with this notion that "it's okay to fail" because, I just don't believe that, and those who plan to fail, have a greater chance to fail.
Whatever happened to the old saying; "Failure is not an option," because that's the way I see it.
Yes, whereas, it is true that the economy might slow you down a little bit, just as if you were running a marathon against the wind, but as long as that wind exists, it exists for all the competition too.
So, while they might be complaining about it, it's time for you to overcome and adapt - remember - there is opportunity in chaos.
This is not to say that any business person, big or small should roll-over and support ObamaCare, or be happy when our policy makers screw with our economy making it any worse, it's just to say that; you need to grow in the pot you were planted, and that you need to play scrabble with the vocabulary you have, and play on the Monopoly Board before you.
When it comes to the recession and your business, you have to make relevant decisions for the storm you face, and then run that race to win it.
In business there are no excuses, and remember; You built that! Please consider all this and think on it.
