Homemade Sock Gifts
At our annual Christmas party, we had a gift exchange with a twist. We drew names and made gifts for each other, but we had to include a sock in the gift. You'd be surprised at how much fun this was and how personalized each gift was. You should give it a try.
My son-in-law made a canned food dispenser for me, calling it a "Can A Face.' He used a Christmas stocking rather than a sock, so it was stretching the rules a bit.
Rather than risk cans falling on my toes, I decided to use it for my plastic grocery bags, so it has become a "Bag A Face."
Sock Hat.
Sock Hat
This sock hat was made for Josiah using two socks from Target. Josiah loves swinging his head back and forth making the tassels on the top swing around.
Next step - Framed Pink Booties.
Framed Pink Booties
Since Jessica is expecting her first baby (girl) in a few months, her sister framed some pink booties for her. She plans on putting the baby's name on the frame later.
Next step - Coin Purse.
Coin Purse
Katie Ann received a button coin purse from her brother complete with coins to start her collection.
Next step - Cell Phone/Nintendo DS Holder.

Jessica is demonstrating the cell phone holder that converts to a Nintendo DS holder she made for her brother.
Next step - Driving Gloves.
Driving Gloves
Brother-in-law Eric made Julee some driving gloves out of his own socks. I'm not so sure I would have put those on!
Next step - Sword Holder.
Josiah made a sword holder for his brother. It's worn over one shoulder with the (toy) sword on the back.
Next step - Remote Control Cover.
Josh made his dad this remote control cover. The sock slides over the remote, exposing the buttons through the holes. This prevents the remote from getting worn out.
Some of the gifts without pictures were a snowman, body warmer, and a hunter's vest.
