Solar Activity and Our Sun in a Great Science Fiction Novel

We all know that sun spots, solar flares and sun cycles affect life on Earth and scientist are pretty certain when the Sun is nearly depleted that it will expand, consume the earth and then retreat, anything living on the surface of earth at that time will perish, as the seas boil and well, you get the picture.
Now what if intelligent beings use their advanced technology to cause our Sun to go crazy? Well, this indeed is just part of the intrigue in one of the best Science Fiction books I have ever read.
Based on science and on science fiction, this book will thrill all its readers and thus, I highly recommend it to you.
The book is: "Sunstorm" (book two of a Time Odyssey) by Arthur C Clarke and Stephen Baxter; Random House Publishing Group, Inc.
; New York, NY 2005.
We are all familiar with the works of the later Arthur Clarke and anyone who is a diehard Science Fiction Fan is also aware of Stephen Baxter's work in great pieces such as:
  • Manifold: Time
  • Manifold: Space
  • Manifold: Origin
  • Phase Space
  • Evolution
  • Coalescent
  • Exultant
  • Transcendent
  • Resplendent
  • Emperor
  • Conqueror
  • Weaver
  • Navigator
  • Flood
  • Ark
  • Moonseed
  • Behemoth
  • The H-Bomb Girl
Arthur C Clarke and Stephen Baxter have released a number of books as co-authors such as:
  1. Sun Storm
  2. Time's Eye
  3. First Born
Arthur C Clarke and Stephen Baxter are two of best science fiction writers of all time and belong along side such names as Isaac Asimov and Gene Roddenbury.
I know you will enjoy reading this book as well as the other two they wrote together, and I am sure we will have many more great books from Stephen Baxter in the future, as he is one hell of a writer and thinker.
