- Producing an excessive amount of blood platelets can lead to blood clots, bleeding and other circulatory problems. Agrylin inhibits the production process, reducing the amount of platelets in the blood.
- The most common side effects of Agrylin are diarrhea, dizziness, headache, nausea and weakness. To help prevent dizziness, users should always get up slowly from a sitting or lying position.
- In certain individuals, Agrylin may cause more serious side effects like unusual bleeding or bruising, black stools, swelling of the ankles or feet, difficult breathing, fainting, abdominal pain, unusual fatigue, change in the amount of urine, bloody urine and vomit resembling coffee grounds. A doctor should be consulted immediately if experiencing any of these conditions.
- Rarely, Agrylin may cause severe allergic reactions. Consult a doctor if noticing any difficulty breathing, dizziness, hives, itching, rash, or swelling of the face, mouth and throat.
- Agrylin should not be used if there's a history of heart problems, kidney problems or liver disease.
