Scooby Doo Party Favors - Some Mystery Tools & Others

Scooby Doo is one of those cartoons that elicit nostalgia even among the eldest of people who have grown up watching it. Although it is not one of those large franchises that dominate children's minds, it still has a lot of followers across all generations. As such you can plan a great birthday party around this theme and enhance the fun by choosing some exciting Scooby Doo party favors.

What made Scooby popular was that it added a mystery element along with loads of comedy and very little horror even though ghosts were a regular feature. The party favors, if related in some way to the cartoon show have more recall value and hence children would enjoy playing with and using them more than regular party favors.

If there is one prop that children can widely recognize as related to "Scooby Doo, Where are you?" show, it is those magnifying glasses that Velma always seems to be carrying while sleuthing. These glasses are a good addition to the filled party favor boxes. They can use it to play a game of "who is the ghost?" that you can arrange for them at the birthday party.

When it comes to props, other ones such as simple sunglasses which are used by the characters or simply ones which have painted on the suspenders are good enough. Since the cartoon show is all about sleuthing, you can add other things such as an ink pad for finger prints as part of Scooby Doo stuff.

A very endearing feature of the Great Dane who is the central character in the cartoon show is his hears. At first, you might not notice them, but they are part of why Scooby looks so cute when his face is stilly or absolutely scared. Needless to say, kids absolutely love this feature and would want to emulate this when they are imitating Scooby Doo.

When it comes to thee Scooby Doo headbands, you can also make some of these at home without spending a dime. You can buy simple white or colored headbands and draw or paint Scooby's eyes on to them and append ears made from cardboard or a thick piece of cloth.

As you know no Scooby Doo episode is complete without its trademark ghosts. These ghosts are only somewhat spooky, but they are comical most of the times, so they don't scare kids. You can find some silly ghost replicas and even masks which would be great as party favors.

If you still find yourself short of ideas for exciting Scooby Doo favors, just find time to watch some of its episodes. The props and ghosts and also the stories appearing on the cartoon show might spark some yet untried idea for favors which is unique and at the same time really thrilling for the kids. The fun quotient is, after all, what kids enjoy attending parties of all kinds, especially birthday parties.
