How to Make a Curve With Tile

    • 1). Use your pencil to mark the curve on the tile.

    • 2). Put the tile in a vise, thick cloth folded and set between the surface of the vise and the tile, to prevent the vise from scratching up the tile. Position the tile so that as much of the curved line is visible as possible.

    • 3). Set the blade of your rod saw at one end of the curved line, on the edge of the tile, and begin sawing. Run the saw forward and back in firm, steady strokes, with the blade going into the tile at a downward angle on the glazed surface.

    • 4). Saw along the whole pattern. Re-adjust the position of the tile in the vise if necessary. Continue sawing until the whole curve is cut out.
