The course structure of Certificate IV in training and assessment course is that it is delivered in mixed-mode block training, consisting of two training blocks of 4 days and 3 days over a two-month period in Townsville, Queensland. Students are required to attend both training blocks to receive training, and to participate in group work and practical observation of applied knowledge achieved during training. Assessments may be concluded in class, however students are expected to complete any assessments not completed in block study periods in their own time between blocks. The Certificate IV in training and assessment course is heralded with a preparatory task to be completed before the start of the first block, and involves a workplace training project to be completed after the second block.
