Toning Your Tummy

Different people have different problem areas in their respective bodies.
One of the most common is problems with the tummy.
This happens especially when the holiday season presents itself.
There are more chances to eat and more tendencies to use the holiday season as an excuse for excessive eating.
You may say to yourself that it is okay to eat those foods that are not on your regular diet because it is the holidays anyway.
But then, what would happen when the holiday craze is over? Naturally, you would notice that your tummy seems bigger than usual and you might even feel heavier than before.
Don't cry yourself out and let the guilt get to you though.
You could easily tone your tummy to the way it was.
All you have to do is exercise.
Do exercises that are especially designed to keep your tummy flat and perfect.
But what are the exercises you can do to get your tummy into shape? Are there other ways besides exercise? Here are some tips also that could help you get in perfect condition again.
• TUMMY TIP 1: Be sure to walk or jog for about 30 minutes.
You could do this three times a week and you would surely boost your metabolism and burn the fats that have been deposited in your tummy.
• TUMMY TIP 2: You could buy an exercise DVD or some self-help books that can assist you to your way back.
Do this at least 2 to 3 times every week.
Not only would this target your tummy, it would also help you to have more flexibility.
• TUMMY TIP 3: Do proper crunches at least 3 to 4 times a week to work abs back to what it should really look like.
Here's a little secret: sit ups don't help you have abs.
Sit ups are meant to work on your hip flexors.
So there's really no point in doing them when the part that you want to tone is your tummy.
• TUMMY TIP 4: Add a handful of almonds to your regular diet.
Eat them every morning.
Why almonds? Well, for your information, almonds are good for burning fats and they are healthy too.
• TUMMY TIP 5: Eat foods which are rich in fiber like fresh fruits and leafy green vegetables and for the sake of your tummy, please avoid eating bad carbs such as white rice, white bread, pastas and potatoes.
Whole wheat bread and brown rice would be much better for you.
• TUMMY TIP 6: Instead of drinking whole milk, you should drink skim milk.
You should also watch your dairy intake because most dairy products could cause bloating.
You wouldn't want that now do you? • TUMMY TIP 7: Do not eat three hours before you go to sleep.
Your body would not be able to digest that food in time if ever.
When you need to eat something, eat vegetables.
Refrain from eating heavy meals.
• TUMMY TIP 8: You must drink lots of water because it helps your body in the process of digestion.
• TUMMY TIP 9: Try and eat smaller meals more often.
Why? Because eating more often helps promote digestion.
• TUMMY TIP 10: Have a fun day.
Eat your favorite dessert or your favorite chocolate bar once every week.
The secret is to be moderate about it.
Besides, I know that you are only human and when you are deprived from the foods you love, there is a big chance that you would only be tempted to eat more.
Remember that these tips would work more effectively especially if you are determined and self disciplined on working your tummy.
