Waxing

• 1). Wash your face and dry it with a washcloth. Heat up the wax according to the instructions that accompany it. If using heated wax, allow it to cool for a minute or longer if instructed, then stir. If not heated, simply stir the wax to make it more pliable.
  
  
• 2). Use a wax application stick to apply a light layer of wax to the facial hair. Apply it in strokes that go in the same direction as the hair grows. Re-dip and apply as needed, until the hair is covered.
  
  
• 3). Cut a wax strip to fit the area where you've applied the wax. Strips also come pre-cut, if you are doing hair above the lip or between the brows, for example.
  
  
• 4). Place the strip over the wax and firmly smooth it down for 30 seconds. If working with heated wax, allow it to cool for a minute or two depending on the instructions.
  
  
• 5). Pull lightly at the skin around the wax strip, so it is tight and grip one end of your strip. Quickly pull the strip backwards, in one single pull. Don't slowly remove or pull the strip outwards.
  
  
• 6). Apply moisturizer to just-waxed areas, to prevent dryness and soothe.
  
  

Bleaching

• 1). Wash your face and dry it with a washcloth. Put on plastic gloves and gather a small amount of bleach onto your index finger.
  
  
• 2). Rub bleach lightly onto the hair and continue re-dipping your finger and rubbing it on -- until hair is covered in a thin layer. Wait according to the time in the directions, and not a minute longer.
  
  
• 3). Wipe bleach off with a clean damp washcloth, then rinse your face all over and cleanse one more time.
  
  
• 4). Apply a moisturizer over areas you've bleached, to ensure bleach doesn't dry out the skin.
