- 1). Tie the ribbon in a bow around the neck of the large vase and cut the tails in either slants or an inverted V. The ribbon can match your color scheme for the party.
- 2). Place the orchids inside each of the three cylinder vases. Next, fill the three cylinder vases with water to the top. Ensure that the orchids are fully submerged below the water surface, so that they do not burn when the candles are lit.
- 3). Place a large floating candle in each vase. Light the floating candles just before your guests arrive.
- 4). Create a sign that consists of instructions for guests to follow in filling out a note card and dropping it into the wish bowl. You can ask them to write whatever they wish to, or you can create a questionnaire consisting of questions that they must answer such as the following examples: "Where do you see the couple in five years?," "Share a memorable time you had with the couple," "What advice do you have for the newlyweds?" Place the sign in a frame.
- 5). Place the tallest cylinder vase at one end of the table. Place the next tallest vase next to it, and then finally the smallest vase. At the other end of the table, place the large vase, pen and note cards. Scatter flower petals around the table. Choose flower petals that go with your theme. Place the framed instructions at the center of the table. You can also arrange your ceremony programs here as well so that guests can pick one up while dropping their message in the wish bowl.
