How to Win in a Crowded Market

There's a bit of a scaredy cat complex that new marketers, and some experienced marketers, suffer from.
It's something that you'll need to get over if you want to make money online as it can be a real road block to your success.
This complex is a fear of competition in the market.
New marketers will sometimes spend days and weeks searching for that "perfect" niche or keyword - one that has a lot of traffic and very little competition.
If you're one of the people who runs around trying to find that ideal keyword phrase, here's a wake up call.
If a niche doesn't have competition, you haven't hit on a goldmine but quite the opposite.
No competition in a niche is a very bad thing.
There are tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of marketers online.
Don't you think that between all of them they've sought out and discovered the best niches to make money? Chances are if there isn't competition for a high traffic phrase, it's because there isn't enough money to be made in that niche or with that keyword.
If you're afraid of competition in your field, you shouldn't be.
Competition is a sign that the niche is profitable.
After that you just have to make sure to can separate yourself from your competitors, which is what all good business owners do.
Online business is no different than offline business.
Two drug stores or two restaurants in the same town don't fear each other.
They just find ways to differentiate themselves from one another.
One restaurant becomes the "go to place" for young families and the other markets their incredible steaks.
They each feed an important niche.
You can do the same thing in your niche.
For example, let's say that you want to create an eBook on overcoming debt.
There's a lot of competition for this niche and you worry that if you go into the market you'll be passed over by a lot of the more popular sites in the niche.
However, you can make your site and your product stand out by differentiating yourself.
A lot of more established sites may be tackling the broad niche of debt recovery, but there is still money to be made.
Start thinking about the people who need debt recovery.
For example, students, young families or people looking to buy a home all need to recover from debt.
By focusing on one of these target markets you can be sure that you have space in the large niche and eliminate some of the competition.
Don't run away from competition.
Actively seek it out.
In fact, there are several markets like weight loss, financial topics, make money online topics and forex trading that are perennial best sellers.
You can always make money from these niches and a lot of people make their entire online income from these high competition niches.
If you follow the money, you'll always make money.
