Videoconferencing
- Videoconferencing is a common method for communicating wirelessly and involves using a computer or mobile device, such as a smartphone or tablet computer. Videoconferencing through a laptop or desktop computer requires a broadband Internet connection, a Webcam and a software application designed to provide the service. Many computers, at the time of publication, come with built-in webcams. Many mobile phones come with built-in, front-facing cameras that give users videoconferencing capability. While you can use a laptop or desktop to videoconference through a wired connection, Wi-Fi wireless technology, which is built in to most computers, enables you to perform this method of wireless communication without a wire.
