- 1). Elevate the Bravada using a jack. Loosen the lug nuts with the torque wrench and take off the wheel.
- 2). Use the ratchet and socket to remove the caliper bolts. Gently loosen the caliper with a screwdriver. Remove the caliper bridge bolts with the ratchet and socket. In the event the bolts won't budge, try to loosen them with the breaking bar.
- 3). Remove the rotor. Locate the ABS wires connected to the wheel bearing hub assembly and disconnect them. Take off the spindle nut and the washer behind it with the breaking bar or spindle nut socket.
- 4). Locate the wheel bearing assembly bolts behind the knuckle. Pry them loose and pull out the bolts using the socket.
- 5). Install the slide hammer on the lug studs and tighten it down with the lug nuts. Eliminate visible corrosion or rust on the knuckle by gently sanding it. Guide the spindle and drive shaft out of your way so they don't interfere with your work.
- 6). Reconnect the backing plate and replace the assembly onto the knuckle. Manipulate the drive shaft spindle until it fits cleanly on the hub bearing's center. Make sure it goes on as far as you can push it. Replace the hub assembly bolts and tighten each one accordingly.
- 7). Replace the spindle nut and washer. Reattach the brakes in the same manner you removed disconnect them. It may be necessary, using a C-clamp, to exert some pressure on the caliper piston to make it fit on the rotor. Reconnect the ABS lines to the assembly.
