Unusual Places to Get Married in London

    HMS Belfast

    • Built in 1938, the HMS Belfast served in the Royal British Navy until 1965 and participated in the historic D-Day landing in Normandy during the Second World War. The HMS Belfast is now London's only floating museum, in permanent moorings between the Tower or London and the London Bridge. The HMS Belfast has nine decks, and many halls suitable for a nautical wedding ceremony or reception.

    ZSL London Zoo

    • The ZSL London Zoo has over 5,000 species of animals and provides an unusual, but picturesque, backdrop for a wedding. The zoo has two licensed venues for a wedding ceremony: The Mappin Pavilion, accommodating 90 guests, and the Prince Albert Suite for up to 260 guests. The Mappin Pavilion directly overlooks Grade II listed animal enclosures, with 360 degree views of the zoo. Civil partnerships for gay couples are also welcomed at the ZSL London Zoo, and receptions for any wedding can be held in any of the zoo's animal houses. You can also arrange for your guests to have closer, more direct contact with some of the animals.

    London Eye

    • The London Eye is an iconic landmark of London--a 450-foot ferris wheel. Capsules on the London Eye are capable of holding up to 25 adults, and special wedding capsules can be booked. A wedding in a London Eye capsule is scheduled so that vows are exchanged at the apex of the wheel, as the venue-supplied registrar pronounces you husband and wife. Champagne and flowers are supplied, with canapés an added extra.

There is 15,000 square feet of space, accommodating up to 1,250 guests, with glass-bound walls offering 360 degree views of the London skyline. The space can be divided for different rooms (i.e., ceremony, reception, dancing and present rooms) or can be left open.
