- 1). Take a pilates class. Pilates is a heightened yoga exercise program that focuses on the core strength of the stomach. If you have loose skin and stretch marks on your stomach and legs, pilates is a wonderful way to get your skin back to its normal elasticity. If you don't have the time or money for a pilates class, you can purchase pilates DVDs and videos online.
- 2). Take a cold shower with an exfoliating cream. Use the exfoliating cream to slough off dead skin cells that may be attributing to your stretch marks and sagging skin. The more you exercise and the more skin you shed, the more quickly your skin will regain its buoyancy.
- 3). Use skin-firming cream when you get out of the shower. Throughout the day, skin can loosen and sag as you walk, exercise, and perform your daily activities. Using a firming cream will bind with your skin cells and over time, your skin will become softer, smoother and, most importantly, tighter.
- 4). Once a week, use a skin-firming body wrap. Place the body wrap on your skin for at least 20 minutes to press your flabby skin in place. Firming body wraps will also prevent your body from accumulating excess water weight, which can help give your skin the appearance of being less bloated and more firm.
- 5). If all else fails, see a plastic surgeon. Plastic surgeons will probably convince you that you need surgery in many different places, so do not fall into the trap of getting more surgery than you actually need. If you are interested in getting a tummy tuck, which will help you get rid of some of the loose skin around your midsection, see a few surgeons for other opinions before deciding on one in particular.
