- 1). Prop the front of the vehicle up a pair of jack stands to reach underneath the engine more easily.
- 2). Slide under the vehicle and locate the cylindrical oil filter. Place a collection pan beneath the oil filter.
- 3). Turn the oil filter counterclockwise with an oil filter wrench to break the seal and remove the filter. Let the fluid drain from the oil filter port until it drips slowly.
- 4). Lubricate the top side of the o-ring with transmission fluid and slip it onto the open side of the Puradyn oil filter. The o-ring should be the same diameter as the filter. Often times, the filter comes with an o-ring included in the package but if it doesn't look on the o-ring label for the diameter reading.
- 5). Place the open end of the filter on the port. Twist it one half turn clockwise to seal it to the engine. Lower the car from the jacks.
