- 1). Fill out the WGU refer-a-friend paper. Be sure to include the name and address of a current student that you are acquainted with. When you apply to WGU later, you will automatically be warranted an application fee waiver, as long as the referrer is an enrolled student or a graduate of WGU.
- 2). Fill out the WGU application and use waiver code "ESA1" on the online application. You will be granted a fee waiver, but will have to produce documentation or a certificate that you are a member of one of WGU's agency partnerships.
- 3). Call WGU and request to speak with an enrollment counselor. He will let you know if the community college you attended allows you to be qualified for the application fee waiver. After confirming eligibility, you will have to send in documentation proving that you were a graduate of the eligible school.
