I heard about a "new" and exciting company called Treasure Hunters Roadshow, who has recently made a huge impact on the economy of both large and small communities.
After some investigation, I learned that Treasures Roadshow visits an average of 8 cities weekly buying Gold, Silver, Silver Coins, Vintage Instruments and many other antique and collectible items.
This is a week long "free" event open to the public.
You simply take your items in, sit down in front of a Treasure Hunter Expert.
After examining the item a value and an offer and a check will be given to the customer right on the spot.
I spoke to a customer who wishes to remain anonymous.
"Ruth" told me she had drawers of jewelry her grandmother and mother had left to her.
Ruth brought in 3 jewelry boxes full or sterling, gold and costume jewelry.
She received a check for $622.
00.
Although Ruth was excited about the money she did have concern about a bounced checks.
I followed up with Ruth later in the week.
She indicated here check was fine and she had already been back that week and sold coins.
Patty Pulliam also attended the Treasure Hunters Roadshow and sold a ring in the amount of $700.
00.
"I actually found this ring in a dryer at a Laundromat" said Patty.
"I am pleased to make such a profit for my findings".
Pulliam at first hesitated to take a check, with the fear of checks bounced she ask for cash.
"We spend over $70,000 or more at each show weekly, it would not be safe to carry cash" said Barb Hipsher Show Manager.
Patty Pulliam's Treasure Roadshow check cleared with no problems at all.
