How to Remove the Arbor From a Lenox Hole Saw

    Visible Set Screws

    • 1). Look on the inside top of the hole saw for two small set screws. The set screws secure the hole saw to sleeves on the arbor.

    • 2). Insert an appropriate size Allen wrench into the head of the set screws and turn the screws counterclockwise to remove the screws from the arbor.

    • 3). Twist the hole saw counterclockwise to unthread the hole saw from the arbor.

    No Visible Set Screws

    • 1). Pull back on the arbor base above the top of the hole saw with your fingers, if you have no visible set screw. (This is the Lenox Snap-Back design; instead of set screws, two studs keep the saw from shifting.)

    • 2). Twist the hole saw counterclockwise to unthread the saw from the arbor while you have the arbor base pulled back.

    • 3). Release the spring loaded arbor base when you remove the hole saw from the arbor.
